Holding Deposits for Homes in Swansea and South Wales
Finding a new home in South Wales should be simple. To reserve a property while we prepare your occupation contract, you will be asked for a holding deposit. By law, this is capped at a maximum of one week’s rent. We follow the Renting Homes (Fees etc.) (Wales) Act 2019 to ensure all contract-holders are treated fairly.
Late Fees and Legal Costs
- Holding Deposit: Capped at one week’s rent to reserve a home. Rent: The regular monthly payment stated in your occupation contract. Security Deposit: A refundable payment protected by a government scheme. Utilities: Ongoing costs like council tax, water, gas, electricity, and media services.
Transparent Renting
We only charge permitted payments allowed by Welsh law. This means contract-holders are never charged for credit checks, references, or admin tasks. We believe in honest, fee-free renting.
